The plumbing world is in mourning following the shocking death of Theodore "British" Steele in what officials are calling a "tragic industrial accident."
Steele, 52, was performing maintenance on a high-pressure water system at an Atlanta warehouse when, according to witnesses, a pipe fitting catastrophically failed. The resulting blast killed him instantly.
“He died the way he lived—with his hands on the pipe.”

"He died the way he lived—with his hands on the pipe," said a tearful member of the British Steele Gang. "There was no pain. Just... ended."
Questions immediately arose about the circumstances. The pipe system had recently been inspected and cleared. The specific fitting that failed was brand new, installed just days earlier.

"Something doesn't add up," admitted a spokesperson for the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. "We're treating this as a routine investigation, but nothing about it seems routine."
Conspiracy theories have already begun circulating online. Some point to previous attempts on Team Cedar members. Others suspect Union involvement given Steele's conflicts with Local 347.
Dick Cedar, visibly distraught at a hastily arranged press conference, called Steele "the heart and soul of our organization" and vowed "justice for Theo."
The Showdown is now just months away. One of its most anticipated competitors is gone.
Memorial services will be held next week. In accordance with Steele's wishes, attendees are asked to wear leather.
