Former plumber Millie Vernillie has reinvented himself as a cryptocurrency evangelist, claiming to have made "millions" through investments in a new token called PipeCoin.
"Plumbing is for suckers," Vernillie declared on his popular TikTok account, where he posts videos of himself surrounded by what appear to be stacks of cash. "I make more in one blockchain transaction than I made in ten years of pipe work."
“While you're unclogging toilets, I'm building an empire in Web3.”

The PipeCoin project, which Vernillie says he co-founded, promises to "revolutionize the plumbing industry through decentralized infrastructure." Critics have noted the white paper is mostly buzzwords with little technical substance.
"This has all the hallmarks of a pump-and-dump scheme," warned cryptocurrency analyst Marcus Webb. "The tokenomics don't make sense, and the utility is questionable at best."

Vernillie has dismissed such concerns as "FUD from haters." He's been spotted at crypto conferences worldwide, often photographed with models and surrounded by luxury goods.
His latest venture: purchasing virtual real estate in several metaverse platforms. "I now own three digital mansions," he boasted. "While you're unclogging toilets, I'm building an empire in Web3."
Former colleagues at Team Cedar have distanced themselves from Vernillie's new persona. "We knew him when he was just a normal guy with a snake," said one wistfully. "Success changes people."
PipeCoin has yet to be listed on any major exchange.
